Psi Beta inducts new members

Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges, inducts eight NTCC students. 

 

Northeast Texas Community College recently inducted new members into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges. Inductees honored at the ceremony included (from left), Jazmin Solis of Omaha, Celsie Williams of Mount Pleasant, Rylee Ramirez of Pittsburg, Britany Lee of Mount Vernon, Chelsey Fuller of Mount Pleasant, Haley Fennewald of Mount Pleasant, Hannah Dickson of Pittsburg and Leni Chaves of Mount Pleasant.

Psi Beta chapters sponsor programs, activities and participation in community service projects. It also provides opportunities to present research papers at regional meetings, attend national meetings and compete for national awards. Students are chosen for membership based on their outstanding overall scholarship and their scholarship in the field of psychology. Psi Beta is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.
