Bad lip reading

Bad Lip Reading, a YouTube channel that is exactly what its name says it is. A channel about hilariously bad lip reading. The anonymous creator of BLR has made videos voice covering popular movie and TV clips, political debates, NFL events, and music videos. BLR released its very first video “Gang Fight” which is a spoof of Rebecca Black’s song and video “Friday” March of 2011. That same year in September BLR moved on to politicians including our very own Texas Governor Rick Perry when he was hoping to run for the Presidential election. BLR switched out Perry’s voice and words with a made up dialogue to match his lip movements.

As of November 2015 BLR has over 4.6 million subscribers and over 537 million views across its 59 videos.  The channel updates about every 3 months or so which may seem like a long time but the wait is worth it. If you’re in to exaggerated and playful humor it is easy to get a laugh from the same videos over and over.  Though the lyrics make hardly any sense, the music is very addictive and maybe even worth a download. I strongly recommend the BLR original “Bushes of Love” from the Star Wars: A Bad Lip Reading video.  My personal favorite is “REDNECK AVENGERS: TULSA NIGHTS” — A Bad Lip Reading of Marvel’s The Avengers.

It’s a good way to procrastinate and get a quick laugh in before you “hit the books”. You should consider watching this Channel if you like Schmoyoho or CinemaSins, which also poke fun at today’s media.  Don’t take my word for it, check out Bad Lip Reading for yourself.
